I follow a lot of organizing and inspirational blogs that I read when I can. And every now and then I read something that really inspires me to make a change for the better. In the last week, I found 2 that really hit me and one that I think is so important to read! So I wanted to share them with you. Even if you take one thing from this, that one thing can improve your life. I promise!!
1) The Necessary Art of Subtraction. Zen Habits. Direct Link
I love this blog. It inspires and helps me to live much more simply and focused. The blog in general reminds me to take what's important and leave the rest. And leave time for just breathing and living. This post in particular was simple, concise and so impactful. I just love the feeling of purging, but I still struggle sometimes with getting rid of things. This re-inspired me!!
2) My 7 Experiment: Simplifying my closet, my wardrobe and life. Simplify 101. Direct Link
My clothes are my biggest issue. For the longest time I filled 2 closets and 3 dressers with all my wardrobe. I'm down to 3/4 of one closet and one (admittedly large) dresser. And that's for all seasons, no overflow. I don't have to swap anything out at the end of any season. But I still feel like there's too much at times. I long for owning 3 pairs of pants, 3-5 shirts, and a few sweaters. But I know myself too well. Either way this has inspired me to pluck away even more where I can. Every time I come across something I haven't work in over a year...it goes.
3) The Rewards of Living an Organized Life. I'm an Organizing Junkie. Direct Link
This....just read this. Knowing the benefits might just help you get started.
Ok, I hope some of those help you in a little! Heck it's inspiring me to make another video on tips. Ack! I'll add that to my to-do list for this weekend. Much love!
P.S. It's snowing here in central Ohio and I'm thinking that has a lot to do with my feelings of inspiration this morning. Snow always makes me feel so alive!!
