Independence Day WIPs!

Happy Independence Day all!!  Well, it's not exactly my favorite holiday, but still.  Important to my country I guess.  I dunno maybe I'm too much of a hippy, but I have friends in England and I always feel like I'm spitting in their face.  That and 4th of July involves 3 things I hate most.  Loud noises, crowds, and unbearable heat.  And my lord is it hot today.  I broke a sweat between the back door and the dumpster out back.  Ugh.  I plan to not leave the house again today.

We're having a nice little day off anyway.  We got to sleep in, lay about on the couch and now we're cleaning up around the house which is always one of my favorite things to do!!  I just took a small break to share my WIPs since I haven't done so in a couple weeks now.  :(

Ok the flower chain is moving along!  I still have quite a bit of thread left though.  Heh.

Blocking will be tricky.  I'm going to have to do bits at a time.  I have 6 months to Christmas though so I think I'll be ok.

The tunisian scarf has been sadly neglected.  But no big hurry on this one.  I have one more hank left after this one, so it should be a good length.

And the sweater.  Haven't had much work on this one either, but it's still coming along.

So that's about it for me.  I've been plowing through reading scripts which is what's holding up my hooky time.  But I'm more than halfway through now, so I should be done in a couple more weeks.  Just time time for my scheduled charity crochet project!!  More on that next time.  :)

Have a lovely day and stay cool out there folks!!  Much love and happy crafting!!

  1. The more I read your blog the more I see that we have in common. I went to college in England and I also feel funny about the 4th. Don't get me wrong, I love the US. I love England too though. I also hate the heat and these continuous 100 degree days are wiping me out. We aren't going out tonight either. Too hot.
