Friday Five!

It's been a few weeks since I've done one of these!!  Yikes!  I think it's about time, don't you?  Found today's list on a Friday Five LiveJournal.  (I have 3 or 4 different websites that have Friday Five questions on them that I typically steal these from unless I think up my own.)  Today's seemed appropriate given the current weather trends.

Too Cool For Friday Five!

1) Would you rather be too hot or too cold?  Why?
Cold.  I think that's not secret by now that I hate being hot, and loathe summer.  When I'm cold I just slip on another layer and I'm good to go.  When I'm too hot, there is NOTHING I can do but be hot.  It induces panic attacks because I get that feeling of no escape and start feeling claustrophobic.  It's a terrible, awful feeling.

2) What's your favorite way to stay cool?
Either just staying inside in the A/C napping or crocheting, or taking an icy cold shower.  I'm not sure the hot water handle in my shower ever gets used between June and September.  I can almost see and feel the steam coming off my body when I get in a nice cold shower.

3) What is your favorite way to stay warm?
Mmmmm, snuggling up under a blanket with my kitty, theonlyboyfriend and a good movie/book.  My favorite moments are when we're all three bundled into the couch and dozing.

4) When you see or hear the word "summer", what comes to mind?
Sun, sprinklers, mowing the lawn, laughter, vacations, beaches, flip flops, heat.  The standard really.

5) Any major summer plans this year?
Only big thing I have going on is my Pelotonia ride.  And that's one day and will be over with so quick!!  I'm only going 25 miles so I'l likely be done in 2 hours.  Other than that my summer has been/will be a lot of reading and crocheting.  :)

That's about it.  Happy Friday everyone!  It looks like we're finally getting some rain we desperately need!  In fact I'll close with a really cool photo I just 3 seconds ago.  What rain looks like from 20 floors up.

It's kinda cool when it's only raining on the north end of town and I can see it from here.  (My office faces north and east)  For my local friends, dead center of the photo is the Smith Brothers Warehouse.  On a clear day I can see the towers in Worthington.  OSU and Riverside are visible from here too.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.  Love and happy crafting!

  1. Neat photo. I will be so happy when the cool weather comes this year. I like summer well enough, but it is just too hot right now to enjoy it. I love snow anyway and am always happy to have the cool weather come.
