Wednesday WIPs!

Sheesh the day got by me and I almost forgot my Wednesday WIPs post!

Ok, well the Stained Glass Window scarf has a few more rows on it.  No photo since there was no drastic change.

My Tunisian Shawl is coming along wonderfully!  I am so loving the free form nature of the pattern.  I've gotten quite a bit done too!
Just stunning, isn't it?  I should have gotten a couple good close up shots.  Eh, maybe next week.  :)

I also dug out the Ugly Blanket since it's been sitting untouched for over a year now!  It's been sadly neglected.  I started this with the mindset of using up all my scrap yarn.  Problem is I'm always accumulating more.  SCRAP YARN NEVER GOES AWAY!!   It's maddening really.  I'm using the crazy square pattern idea, so it's a corner to corner square.  I got a few more rows in on it, so it's coming along.  I'm thinking maybe another 10 rows and I'll call it halfway and start coming back in again.

Oh, just bask in all that ugliness!!  (That's my little foot for scale)

I'm also teaching a co-worker to crochet.  She's trying to quit smoking and she thought keeping her hands busy would help.  I was more than happy to oblige!  She's catching on very quickly.

That's about all.  Hope everyone is well!!

  1. I just love your "ugly blanket as you call it. I too have loads of scraps and left over skeins to use. I s there a pattern I kind find specifically somewhere on line or purchase it somewhere? I have never crocheted corner to corner before. Just knitted.

Look forward to seeing your progress.

BTW I found your on the Blog Bridge and Beyond, the charity that I donate to.

Take care and have a great day!

  2. It's called the "Crazy Square" or the "diagonal box stitch". It was really the first thing I learned to do! There's a great tutorial with photos and a video on how to do it here:

P.S. I love Bridge and Beyond!! I'm actually working on more donations for her now!
