It's that time of week again!
Ok, well I’ve made some awesome progress on my Crocus Bud Shawl. It’s hard to get a good photo since you can’t see the pattern at ALL pre blocking. I stretched it a little here:
When it’s done it should look like this only blue obviously:
This was made by a lady in my Crochet Divas group. I’d seen the pattern and thought it was pretty, but hers…. Hers made my heart skip and my mouth drool a little. Although she used silk and I’m using alpaca. Just the delicateness of the pattern with the lace weight yarn really drew me in. Although in my adoration I’d forgotten just how annoying working with lace weight yarn can be.
And last night I started my first Tunisian project!! I figured the quintessential scarf should be the place to start so…. I started a scarf. Ta-da!
It’s looking really cool. And it’s a very simple pattern so I’m catching on fast and learning to move that massive hook quicker. Which was my goal. Start with something easy to re-train my bran and hands. I’m still tempted to finish stitches in the forward row, and catch myself doing it from time to time and then have to go back. But I’m getting it! And loving it.
Still kind of leaving the sweater at the side for now. Maybe when I finish the shawl I’ll pick it back up again.
