Finally getting things done. I finished my most recent original filet design, it’s on the blocking board at home. (Sorry folks, no photos as I’m trying to keep this blog PG, and my doilies are….delightfully offensive. But the pattern will be up on Ravelry tomorrow with photos, so you’re welcome to look there. Just remember: ADULT CONTENT! Oh and the link to my designs on Rav is to the right on this page.) I’m proud of it, although I had a snafu with the thread. I ran out of the pink thread I was using and could NOT find a matching shade anywhere. So I had to finish in white. I’ll have to dye the finished project. A minor annoyance.
I got quite a bit done this week on another project I conjured up on my own. I’m debating writing a pattern for it. I mean it’s really simple so it seems like writing a pattern would be silly. Eh, I might write something up and post it for free download. It is a very useful design and others may enjoy it. Anyway, I’m about 75% done with it, so I’m excited about that. I can’t wait to be totally done with it. Sorry, no photos just yet. I think I’ll just wait until I’m done to take any.
My Elise Shawl I’m doing as a CAL with the Crochet Divas is maybe halfway there.
Of course it will look a whole lot better once it’s blocked, but you know that.
This drapey sweater I’ve been working on forever and a day has been sitting in time out for some time. I may pick it back up again once I’m done with these other two. Might. I’m tempted to frog it, but the yarn I’m using… I don’t think will frog easily, if at all. I love the pattern but I have been having the WORST time with this yarn!! I’m using Noro Kureyon Sock, in self-striping rainbow. It’s breath-takingly gorgeous but my lord it is impossible to crochet with. It tangles itself up so badly because of the twist, and then add in the twisting movement with crocheting and it just makes disaster. I will muddle through. It will be worth it in the end. I hope.
