Friday night; Went to see Inglorious Basterds. I loved it, kinda knew I would. It was not nearly as gruesome as I’d been lead to believe. Yes, gruesome, but not puke-all-over-the-seat-in-front-of-you-and-get-thrown-out-of-the-theatre gruesome.
Saturday; slept in. Really nice. Helped Bren take his truck to NTB for an oil change and to have them look at whatever was making all the clanking noises. While they had the truck, we walked over to TipTop for brunch and walked around the Independents Festival on Gay St. It was much bigger than last year. VERY nice.
Then came back home and took a nap and chilled for a couple.
Then we went up to the Park of Roses. I’ve lived in Columbus my whole life and never been there. I know. I was definitely impressed, very nice. Not prime rose season, but it was still very nice. Then headed up to Dublin and grabbed a couple drinks and appetizers before we went to see Harvey at Emerald City Players. It was great to see some old friends again, for sure. Heh, Joyce didn’t recognize me. She said “Where did the rest of you go?!”
Today was Sunday school. We’re learning the story of Joseph right now, so I brought in my copy of the movie version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The kinds love it so far!! We watched half today and the other half next week. Still one of my favorite musicals of all time. Definitely my favorite Old Testament story.
Then it was off to a work day to assist in sewing the backdrop for the next show at MadLab. Then a workout, a nap, and some TV. Took a walk with Natalie and here I am! Ta-da!! Gonna crochet some and watch Simpsons and hopefully slip off to bed before midnight.
