I bought this amazingly beautiful painted glass artwork at an art auction at our Theatre's Gallery about 4 years ago. It was an old barn window with watercolored painting on the glass. Yup. Sure enough, after surviving this long with the cats, she finally knocked it over last night and it shattered into pieces. I had it in the big window in my living room. The sun shines through it during the day and it looks so amazing.
I literally sat and sobbed as I picked up the shards of glass. This was my most favorite piece I've bought. I couldn't bear to just toss it all, so I kept the bigger pieces of glass and the window frame, which is still in tact. I know a lot of artist folks so I'm going to see if anyone wants any of it to maybe make something else with it. Who knows, maybe another great piece of art can come of my tragedy.
Anyway, here's what's left:

I really wish I would have taken a picture of it while it was still in one piece. Live and learn.
