It's going to be a very busy week. As I was explaining Holy Week and all I have going on this week to Bren the other night, we concluded it's like tech week for Easter. You can take us out of the theatre, but you can't take the theatre out of us. (Says the girl who calls halftime "intermission")
Anyway, we opened the Stations of the Cross at our church last night. Typically a Catholic tradition, we thought we'd give it a go. I did my walk-though last night before we opened to the public. I have to say it was pretty moving.
So Friday I'm singing in our Good Friday service. One of my good friends at the church wrote the most beautiful song from the point of view of both Mary Magdalene and Jesus' mother at the cross. I'm pretty honored he asked me to sing his piece. Although I'm a bit nervous.
Overall, had a busy weekend and next weekend will be much of the same. We saw Cody Rivers Saturday night and they were absolutely amazing as always. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. It's been awhile, sadly. Friday night we saw Lime Tree Bower, which was wonderful. Hats off to those guys, the show was brilliant.
Now, back to work. It's going to be a long, long week.
