I guess before I delve into my ramblings I should get a little catch-up here for those of you I do not communicate with on a regular basis. I’m not even sure where to start. I guess I’ll just separate things out here:
I’m still working for the realty company downtown as the Office Services Manager. I love my job. And I love that I can say that I love my job. I survived the first round of massive lay offs, thank god. They swear there are no more in the foreseeable future. I’m keeping my resume updated anyway. That aside, I enjoy coming to work every day and love how each day brings something new and different. Definitely keeps me on my toes.
This May will be 7 years with MadLab Theatre (www.madlab.net) my home away from home. I’m directing a fantastically creepy one act for our 10th annual Theatre Roulette. (one act play festival) Also, the full length show I directed last winter was nominated for an Artistic Excellence award from the GCAC, (Greater Columbus Arts Counsel) and that’s a pretty big deal for us. The award ceremony thingy is March 6th. I’ll definitely update as to the results of that. I've pretty much been working solely with MadLab, but I have ventured out to do a couple shows with other companies recently. I was in a Christmas comedy musical last December. Definitely the most fun I've had on stage in a very long time. And it felt amazing to be singing again, a talent I'm definitely underutilizing.
For the most part the family is doing well. I’ll leave it up to them to update their personal lives. I’m sure you’re all aware by now that J and I are no longer married, that was finalized in September 2007. It was very amicable and we are still good friends. Probably better now that we’re not in each others faces all day. Heh. My two girls are doing well. No, you didn’t miss anything I have not spawned any offspring. But I have my two furry, four-legged girls of the feline variety at home. Truly the loves of my life.
I guess that’s about all I have for now. Congratulations if you’ve read this far. :)
